Producing the History of the Railways is a real labour of love, and to bring you each episode I spend hours researching, writing, recording, and editing.

My goal is to carry on as long as possible … there’s a lot of fascinating railway history for us to cover together … but if I’m going to carry on making it then I have to be able to justify the time it takes (to my wife, at least, if no-one else!)

Any support you can give the show is incredibly gratefully received.

There are several things you can do that will help:

  • Support the show on Patreon
    • Regular donations are the most effective way to keep it going
    • You can support from as little as £1.50 per show
    • To recognise the impact regular support makes I’ve added a couple of rewards just for patrons – check them out
  • Make a one-off donation via PayPal
  • Buy books from the links in the show notes
    • Some (not all) of the links on the show notes are affiliate links
    • If you are thinking of buying any of the books I’ve used in my research then please buy them through these links
    • It doesn’t cost you any more and I get a small fee from the seller
  • Tell your friends about the show
    • Like, comment, and share it on social media … and even recommend it to friends in the real world, gasp!
    • Spreading the word costs nothing but the more people who listen, the more I can convince Mrs L that it’s worthwhile 😉

Here’s the thing … you can get the podcast for free.

You know that and I know that (and you know, that I know, that you know (and so on!))

But you choosing to support it really does make a massive difference and will help me to keep making more of the shows you enjoy.

So, thank you!
